Tim Evans is a freelance documentary photographer and visual artist based in Minneapolis, MN. He photographs a range of topics from portraits to breaking news while pursuing long-term projects that explore themes of community, resilience, and adaptation in a time defined by extreme social and ecological pressures. A desire to better understand the world around him, create meaningful connections, and add nuance to the complexities of modern life guide his approach to photography.

Tim is the recipient of numerous grants, including a Pulitzer Center Reporting Grant. His work as a photojournalist has also earned him various awards and recognition. He is a Lucie Awards Discovery of the Year finalist and an International Photography Awards Emerging Editorial/Press Photographer of the Year. His photographs have been exhibited both domestically and internationally.
